A Bark to Beat Cancer

Cancer, Bark for live, Event, Clarens

Whether you have a big, small, fluffy or shaved dog, that is all dressed up or even just a little cute.Dogs are members of the family too and to many cancer survivors – they are caregivers who demonstrate unconditional love, joy, security, compassion, and no judgment of cancer survivors’ abilities or appearances.

Bark for Life is a canine event to fight Cancer and it will be coming to the small town of Clarens 5 September this year at Interior Park Square.

The fundraising event honours the life-long contributions of the Canine Caregivers.

The initiative is part of the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) Relay for Life, a unique event that offers everyone in the community the opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer by pledging to take action and spread awareness of the disease through education, advocacy, screening as well as care and support programmes.

Teams raise funds before and during the Relay and these funds are dedicated to funding CANSA’s unique, integrated service within their community.

Join the Clarens community, with your dog and show your love and appreciation for your four legged best friends and spend a great day out with them at this event that will have something of everything.

CANSA Relay for Life has taken South Africa (SA) by storm with more than a 100 communities participating in the initiative’s events across the country. The first Bark for Life in SA was held on 3 August 2013 in Nelspruit.
