eWallet is a service offered by First National Bank (FNB). Using the service allows customers to send money instantly to anyone with a valid South African cellphone number.
It’s instant, easy and secure. You can send money from your FNB account by using either cellphone banking, online banking, the banking app or directly from an FNB ATM.
The money is transferred securely and immediately.
The recipient receives an SMS after receiving money into their eWallet.
How to use FNB eWallet using online banking:
- Login to your online banking profile
- Select “Send Money”
- Select “Once-off”
- Enter the cellphone number
- Enter the amount
- Check the account from which you want to send money
- Check and confirm the transaction
- Enter your One Time Pin
The recipient can draw cash at an FNB ATM or at selected retailers
What benefits are offered by FNB eWallet?
You can send up to R3000 per day using online banking or the app and R150 using cellphone banking or an ATM.
The FNB eWallet can hold up to R5000.
