Most people have a simple list of expectations from a smartphone:
- Decent battery life
- Stylish design
- A good camera
- A good Operating System
Chinese manufacturer Huawei has fulfilled (if not exceeded) these expectations with the release of the Huawei Mate 9 cellphone in South Africa.
In a statement, Huawei has said that the Mate 9 series sees the arrival of “the new smartphone era”.
Available in a standard version and a Porsche design version, the Huawei Mate 9 also features new Supercharge technology, which delivers a full day’s charge in as little as 20 minutes. The 4000mAh high-density battery comes standard with the Huawei Mate 9, which ensures that “10minutes of charge provides enough power to watch two full movies”.
The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 has a 5.5 curved AMOLED display with a smooth, sleek feel and is exclusively available in Graphite Black.
Released in November 2016, the phone is available in various colours, including black, space grey, moonlight silver, champagne gold, mocha brown and ceramic white.
The handset also comes with an all-new Android experience –featuring the Kirin 960 for the fastest computing performance. So you won’t experience any lag when swiping between apps or web pages.
The 1080x 1920 pixels camera doesn’t disappoint, with a Leica dual-lens camera with a 12MP RGB sensor as well as a 20MP monochrome sensor. The RGB sensor captures true-to-life colours and also ensures that the handset delivers superior night shot capabilities.
With an elegant large display with a fingerprint sensor, the Huawei Mate 9 has an intuitive design, which means that more than half of the features can be reached within two clicks.
For about R9646-00 in South Africa, users can buy the Huawei Mate 9 cellphone with 64GB of storage.
