    Events are plenty in the city, for foodies, music lovers, to theatre goers, festivals and even sports. If you want to stay fit this winter here are sporting events that cater to the heavyweights and the lightweights.

    South Africa Bike and Music Festival

    27-29 May 2016
    Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit

    This event will definitely get your adrenaline pumping, calling all bike lovers to get their heart racing at the first ever South African Bike and Music Festival.

    Expect to see the latest trends, accessories, and stunning 2016 models. Guests can enjoy live music, circuit test rides, watch thrilling stunts and jumps, and shop for a number of bike accessories from helmets and riding leathers, to gloves and jackets. And visit Eat Street to quench your thirst or feed your stomach.

    Yoga at the Railway Station

    Yoga Works and Superdry South Africa will give you a good stretch this winter in a fun and funky yoga session. This is the next level in the Go with the Flow series of yoga events in the inner city.

    You’ll be enjoying amazing views over the city from this superb location, while moving through a playful and active yoga sequence geared to all levels of yogis and some calming stretches and a quiet relaxation at the end.

    During the yoga practice there will be a soundtrack and live vinyl-only set by DJ Abby Nurock. And after the yoga session, why not take the opportunity to discover this part of your city a bit more and roam around Newtown or neighbouring Braamfontein, or the Joburg CBD afterwards?

    Make sure you take a yoga mat (or old towel) water, and something warm for longer relaxation at the end of the session. There will be lots of secure parking available at the venue.
