DStv Catch Up Plus, changing the television landscape

DStv Catch Up Plus

DStv which stands for Digital Satellite Television is a digital satellite TV service owned by Multichoice. Established in 1995, this platform provides various bouquets offering General Entertainment, Movies, Lifestyle and Culture, Sport, Documentaries, News and Commerce, Children’s Programmes, Religious programmes etc. In order to give its loyal viewers a better television experience, DStv is launching the Catch Up Plus.

Catch Up Plus is the new online video on demand service for Explora decoders.  This launch process will enable 500 hours of content. This will be achieved by connecting a DStv WiFi connector that connects to the Ethernet port on the Explora opening the way for Video On Demand.

The benefits of this development will include the fact that subscribers will be able to do remote recording through various touch points such as an app, a browser or mobi site. Once you are connected to an Explora, all the electronic programme drives will show a record button. When that button is pressed, it will override whatever else you have got on the box. Consumers will also be able to store up to 25 VOD titles downloaded from the Internet, but the number of titles available in the cloud will be far larger. The added good news for clients is that Box sets will be included in the catalogue.

Customers should be gearing up to this launch set for November.
