Coming back from work after missing lots of drama on the latest series or the new season of a great reality show is one thing that most people are not fond of. Sometimes people just want to watch their favourite shows at their convenience while there are ways that Multichoice tries to accommodate all of that, they surprise subscribers with the addition of internet services for their subscribers’ viewing pleasure.
The introduction of this new service means that subscribers can remotely record their favourite shows. Remote recording lets users set personal video recorders from the application, desktop browser or mobile websites. This will only apply for subscribers will a Dstv Explora decoder. This includes a number of exciting offerings, including Catch-Up Plus for the Explora.
It will also be possible to connect the Explora decoder to the internet through the device’s Ethernet port. There is also an alternative connection for those who prefer a wireless option where subscribers can buy a USB Wi-Fi connector for decoder at a recommended retail price of R399.
Dstv Catch-Up Plus will add another 300 titles to the already existing 280 plus set boxes. This means that subscribers will have more to look forward to. Subscribers will have to download these extra titles to their Explora decoders before they can watch them. Subscribers will have the pleasure of queuing up to 25 downloads at once. The Dstv Catch-Up Plus service on the Explora also includes queue management features.
Progressive downloading, which will enable subscribers to watch their episodes while downloading them will be allowed in the near future.
