Gaming fanatics all over the world can look forward to a range of new releases in 2017. One upcoming release that’s highly anticipated is Mass Effect Andromeda.
Created by acclaimed studio Bloware, Mass Effect Andromeda is an upcoming third person game published by Electronic Arts.
Coming on March 21, 2017, Mass Effect Andromeda is set to have a multiplayer component, so players can enjoy battling it out with multiple people.
Here’s what you need to know about the storyline:
Founded in 2176 and launched in 2185, the Andromeda initiative is a villain, multi-species project created to send scientists, explorers and colonists on a one-way trip to settle in the Andromeda Galaxy. With powerful benefactors lending their support, the program has grown substantially in scope since its inception.
The initiative’s ultimate goal is to establish a permanent presence on the seemingly resource-rich frontier of Andromeda, and eventually create a reliable route between it and the Milky Way Galaxy.
In the game, players play as Scott or Sarah Riley, otherwise known as The Pathfinder, leading an elite squad of military-trained explorers across the Milky Way in search of Andromeda.
What can gamers expect?
The game features a third person template. As a player, you’ll also have customisation options for your character in Andromeda which are vastly improved. You can even change the appearance of your father and sibling. You can use The Nomad to navigate planets in search of story missions.
You begin the game with access to all avenues of progression. This gives you ample room to experiment with different play styles without having to create a new character.
Mass Effect Andromeda will also be the first in the series to introduce melee weapons.
