Here’s one for the Petrol Heads
Step it up a gear from 30-31 May when The Gas Motorshow 2015 makes its long awaited debut at the prestigious and only race track in Kwa Zulu Natal (KZN), Dezzi Raceway.
The world class motoring festival is a concept by KZN publication, Gas Magazine.
Enjoy horsepower, not of the galloping type but rather the adrenaline pumping, engine revving, speed racing, tyre screeching, leave you in a cloud of dust type at the one of a kind motoring show.
Car lovers can receive the VIP treatment by experiencing the action from the passenger seat literally of South Africa’s current SupaDrift championship point leader Jim McFarlane. When he and a select guest list of Africa’s top drifters perform a high-speed tandem drift show and invite fans to step into the cockpit for a ride on a professional drift track.
Also at the event expect extreme bike stunts and spin stunting from international stuntmen. Extreme bike Trials and stunt Duo Skills by SA’s own The Le Rich Brothers alongside world renowned bike performance display.
While the action off the track will be that of 20 of KZN’s best supercars on display, a Strongman contest, the Wicked Dips, Show ‘n Shine, some ear candy through Sound off and a chance for fans to get up close to hundreds of the most beautiful cars from around the province vying for honours.
It’ll be a motor show with difference as festival patrons can also enjoy numerous lifestyle elements of a unisex spa providing foot massages, pedicures and kids pampering of face painting and glitter tattoos. A pop up cinema, go karting and a massive kids action zone of a climbing wall, gyro, rodeo bull and loads of inflatables to create a weekend of thrills for the whole family.
Tickets costs: Adults R60, pensioners R30, VIP R200 (Limited to 500 tickets per day) and children under 12 get in for free
Dezzi Raceway, Marburg is 50 minutes from Durban’s CBD and the event will start from 9am-7pm on both days.
