Telkom is the leading communications services provider in South Africa. The organisation offers business, residential and payphone customers a wide range of services and products.
Established in 1991, the organisation is partly state-owned. Until recently, Telkom had close to a monopoly on the South African telecommunications market. The company’s existing network is regarded as the most highly developed on the African continent.
It also has operations in 38 countries on the African continent.
In the South African market, Telkom is more popularly known for its landline services. The tide is slowly changing though, as the world demands more access to affordable data.
FreeMe is a set of new data-centric packages offered by Telkom. Available from 25 July 2016, Telkom’s FreeMe packages are designed to offer customers a wide range of options to choose from. One of the latest offers from Telkom is the FREE Me Family package.
