Movies in the Park is a unique compilation of themed picnics that allows festival-goers to enjoy an outdoor pop-up cinema and to enjoy movies in high definition widescreen with an excellent sound system. The event brings a new twist to movie marathons.
“A great movie in widescreen will transform the grass of the park into an outdoor cinema in Johannesburg. It’s a unique event for friends, families and couples that enables them to socialise and enjoy good African music, food and later watch numerous films in the park in a tantalizing and relaxing atmosphere with a mild breeze drifting through the trees, beneath the stars to share the experience of watching a great movie in a wonderful outdoor setting.”
The Valentine’s Day Edition will be held at the Riversands Farm Village, Rose Road, Knopjeslaagte, Midrand, Johannesburg. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets on the day.
Two movies will be screened on the day, the first being screened from 19:30 and the second at 21:30.
