The Nokia brand remains one of the most well-known cellular phone brands despite the advent of smartphone technology. While it no longer has the lion’s share of the market worldwide, the brand is still trusted and regarded as reliable.
With the world moving towards adopting smart technology, Nokia has stepped up its designs too. The Nokia 9 is set to launch soon, and it’s positioned to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone8.
What can we expect from the Nokia 9?
There is no doubt that Apple and Samsung have transformed the smartphone market. New entrants have to compete with the best designs and the latest technology.
The Nokia 9 is rumoured to feature the Snapdragon 835, which explains the delay in the launch, since the technology is brand new.
With multiple colour options, the device is also set to feature an all-metal body, which will house a 5.5 inch QHD OLED screen (1440 X 2560), giving it a more vibrant display.
One of the key features new smartphones have is water-resistance, something the Nokia 9 will have. So users won’t have to worry about dust or damage if the phone is splashed by water.
Rumoured to have a dual lens 22MP Carl Zeiss camera (wow!), the Nokia 9 will also have a 12MP front-facing camera.
With a large 3800mAh battery, the Nokia 9 won’t disappoint when it comes to battery life. The fast-charging technology feature is also likely to be a hit with users.
Running Android 7 technology, the Nokia 9 will have 6GB of RAM. The device will also feature 3D audio recording and an iris scanner in addition to the fingerprint scanner.
Bluetooth will be 5.0, including A-GPS, GLONASS for better navigation.
Expected to launch mid-to-late 2017, the Nokia 9 is the next model to be introduce by HND Global- the company that’s revived the Nokia name on smartphones.
