There are options to transfer money within South Africa as well as Money Transfers to African countries. Cross Border Money transfers can be made to Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia and Kenya.

The process is simple and can be done at any Pep, Pep Cell or Pep Home Store.

What you need to apply:

  • Valid South African ID
  • Your Pep Club Card
  • Your cell phone number

How Pep Money transfers work:

You give the cashier details of the person you are sending money to and how much you want to send. You will then receive 2 SMSes on your cell phone, your withdrawal number and your access code.

Send the receiver the 10 digit withdrawal number and the 4 digit access code and tell them how much you have sent.

How Pep Money transfers to African countries work:

You need to provide your ID to send money.

Take your ID to a Pep Store and register for Mukuru.  You will then get an SMS within 48 hours if your registration is successful. The SMS will have a reference number. You can then dial *130*567# or call 0860 018 555.
