Set to hit South African shores by the end of 2014, the Nokia Lumia 930 will be a great device to possess. The device is well designed with a colourful polycarbonate back and a metallic rim. It’s a smaller and better version of the 1520 which was released in 2013. The 930 is definitely worth a try because if looks in a phone are of importance to you, then this device is right up your alley (should be your preferred choice).
The best part about the Lumia 930 is its speed which is ideal for anyone multitasking on their phone. There is no need to wait for a game or app that keeps buffing because they move at a fast pace almost effortlessly. You can also watch a movie or your favourite series because photos and videos shine on the screen which makes for great picture.
The 20 megapixel camera takes quality pictures and will not disappoint at night either. The 930’s video recording is also great and would make for an awesome live recording device. Other features that are pleasing on the 930 are the double-tap-to-wake function and the preinstalled Windows Phone 8.1. With the Windows 8.1 you can expect a new Action Centre dropdown menu, swipe-based keyboard and a third column for live titles.
The microUSB port of the 930 is at the bottom of the device, the earphone jack is on top and the volume/power/camera buttons are on the right-hand-side of the device. With the Lumia 930 you can also take your SIM card in and out of the bay without a struggle. While the battery life is strong enough to get through the day, it would be best to use all the heavy apps in moderation. All in all it is definitely a device worth owning.
