Scorpio Xbox One,powerful console ever built
Project Scorpio Xbox One is being billed as “the most powerful console ever built” by Xbox.
The console is the third Xbox console announced by Microsoft since Xbox One.
Expected for a holiday season release, the console will come equipped with a 1TB hard disk and will be ideal for flawless 4K gaming.
Microsoft plans to “bring mixed reality content to the Xbox One family of devices, including Project Scorpio, in 2018”.
The Xbox One family of devices also includes the Xbox One S, which precedes Project Scorpio.
With a 2TB hard drive, the Xbox One S also has textured grips designed to moderately improve the play comfort. The svelte console comes in a new white coat of paint, which Xbox calls “robot white.”
With HDR support and 4K capability, the Xbox One Scan stream 4KUltra HD content.
Project Scorpio Xbox One will follow suit and include a range of improved features, something which gamers will look forward to.
The 8 core, 2.3 GHz processor will ensure that the console delivers four times the graphical power of the current Xbox One. This power allows the console to run games at higher resolutions. This is measured in teraflops, of which Scorpio boasts six (a measure of graphical potential.)
Xbox head of games marketing Aaron Greenberg told Engadget that the Xbox Scorpio marks the beginning of the end of traditional console lifecycles for Microsoft.
“Scorpio will change the way we think about the future of console gaming.”
It will also receive an upgraded version of the Xbox One’s audio processor. The console will also be virtual reality compatible. Virtual Reality is computer technology that uses software to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that replicate a real environment and simulate a user’s physical presence in this environment.
