The smart device market has become flooded with an array of models promising clients new experiences. While many of these devices offer fun features, none of them are quite on the same level as the new Zenfone AR device. The Zenfone AR device is a 5.7 inch smartphone with Tango and Daydream by Google. Tango was developed by Skunkworks, a division of Google.
This augmented reality (AR) technology enables these smart devices to use their internal GPS to pinpoint your location, that makes internal navigation and 3D mapping possible. This puts quite a unique spin on the way that you interact with this new virtual world. With Daydream you can experience high-quality virtual reality (VR) with your phone. Some of the other devices that also features Tango technology is the discontinued Peanut phone and Yellowstone Tablet.
It has made a big step in VR hardware, and had pushed Google to further explore AR device technology like ARCore. Since this announcement, the Zenfone has had an expected drop in market value, making this piece of quality hardware very affordable on the market. Well documented developer code is also available online, for those who would like to explore this tech, and find any possible future applications for it.
