It’s an air-travaganza
Airshows are those events that don’t just happen overnight due to the strict safety rules and application approval for the event therefore when an airshow takes place in your area why not take advantage in seeing the one of a kind event.
‘O little town of Bethlehem… as the song goes, ‘how still we see thee lie, above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by’.
There will be nothing silent about the town of Bethlehem when it plays hosts to its annual Bethlehem Air Show taking place this year 14-15 August.
Spectators can get up close and personal with the air birds through the shows static display or just watch the entertaining air displays. Rip roaring through the skies and soaring high at speeds that never disappoint.
It’s a sight to behold as the sky is filled with colourful, silver grey, blue or red and white or yellow air crafts of jets as well as appearances from the crowds’ firm favourite War Birds of yesteryear that perform aerial displays.
Bring the entire family to watch aviators display their flying skills and the capabilities of their aircrafts. Come to also browse the selection of stalls, enjoy lunch and an air show from sky divers. This all takes place at the Bethlehem Airfield.
The Bethlehem Air show started in 1999 and has become one of the major airshows on the South African Air Show calendar and in 2007 it was amongst the top four airshows in the country.
