This year the Easter holidays take place between 20 March – 28 March, and it’s that time of the year again where all we want to eat is cinnamon and raisin hot cross buns and marshmallow Easter eggs. It’s also a time where families take a bit of an early year break. If you’re looking for things to do to fill up your Easter holiday days, here are a few Johannesburg events for you to consider.
Silverstar Easter Playground and Pop up Market

For the adults, the Easter Pop-Up Market is not to be missed (taking place on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March 2016), packed full of magnificent crafts, gorgeous handiwork and innovative ideas. You’ll find everything from wire art, home décor, clothing and jewellery, to funky gadgets, cool stationery, kids and baby goods, not to mention delicious market food.

Bring the whole family along and be sure to look out at the sky every day at noon for a wonder filled surprise.
Look on the bright side and #LetWonderOut and #Wonderschutes.
Easter Beer Hunt for Adults
25-28 March from 10am – 4pm and last tour ends at 6pm
SAB World of Beer, Newtown
Strictly for adults the SAB World of Beer has put a twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt with a beer hunt for over 18’s beer tour.
In countries including Denmark, Sweden, Belgium and England, it’s tradition to brew special Easter beers to be served alongside the Easter dinner. Although SAB World of Beer isn’t brewing any special beers for Easter, you do get to taste traditional beer at the beer tour.
And to make Easter a little more fun for the adults attending the brewery will be hiding SAB brand logos along the way. Those with the keenest eyes will win a beer prize at the end of the tour!
Tours cost R105 per person and include two beers and a commemorative glass. To make your booking, contact SAB World of Beer on (011) 836 4900.
